The Encore Reading Series Presents Robyn Sarah, Marius Kociejowski & Jesse Eckerlin

Tomorrow night, October 30th at 7PM, check out an evening of poetry presented by the Encore Literary Magazine  at Burritoville (2055 Bishop). The event features poets Robyn Sarah, Marius Kociejowski & Jesse Eckerlin. Good food and drink is available, and the admission is free. The event will be hosted by novelist and co-editor of Encore Literary Magazine, Marko Sijan.

Robyn Sarah is a poet, story writer and essayist. Her latest poetry collection is entitled Digressions: Prose Poems, Collage Poems and Sketches (Fitzhenry & Whiteside, 2012). Her poems, stories and essays have appeared widely in Canadian and American journals, including The Threepenny Review and Poetry (Chicago). Her poems have been anthologized in Fifteen Canadian Poets x2 and x3, The Norton Anthology of Poetry (5th edition), and in Garris on Keillor’s Good Poems for Hard Times (Penguin, 2006). Robyn lives in Montreal.

Marius Kociejowski is a poet, essayist and travel writer. His collections of poetry include So Dance the Lords of Language, Poems 1975-2001 (Porcupine’s Quill, 2003), and Coast (Greville, 1991), winner of the Cheltenham Poetry Prize. He has written acclaimed travel books such as The Pigeon Wars of Damascus (Biblioasis, 2011), and has recently completed God’s Zoo, “a record of a world journey through London’s exile and émigré artists, writers and musicians.” Marius lives in London, England.

Jesse Eckerlin is a poet, essayist, and since 2011 co-owner of Montreal’s historic Argo Bookshop. “How to Repossess a House,” a poem from his debut collection, We Are Not the Bereaved (Frog Hollow Press, 2012), was long-listed for the anthology Best Canadian Poetry 2012 from Tightrope Books.
