As much as we want to promote the sale of new books, you should consider giving your home to  used copies too. From the 23rd to the 25th of October, McGill will be hosting its annual Used Book Fair.  Held each autumn in Redpath Hall, the fair offers buyers tens of thousands of used books, French and English, in categories ranging from architecture to zoology. In addition to volumes old and new, the Book Fair also offers CDs, LPs, DVDs, and sheet music. One room is devoted exclusively to art and architecture, and another to old and rare volumes.
The Book Fair is organized and run entirely by volunteers. All proceeds are used to support McGill scholarships. Since its inception in 1971, the Book Fair has raised over $1.5-million. In 2010, the annual Book Fair donation to the University was $75,000.
The Book Fair is promoted primarily through word of mouth, and has always been relatively unknown to the people it is best placed to support: McGill students. This is our first year under new administration–help us change that! Invite your friends and come browse our unparalleled selection.
